357 Votes?

The SBE website currently shows a 357 vote total separating Deeds and McDonnell...not what I wanted to hear.

In a 50-50 race, "finding" votes should be like flipping a coin, roughly half the time, it should come up heads, and roughly half it sould come up tails...

The fact that this particular coin has come up "heads" enough times to erase an early McDonnell lead of several THOUSAND votes scares the heck out of me. The mathmatical probability of such a trend has got to be smaller than that of randomly picking the Mega Millions numbers on your first try.

Is anybody in the media paying attention to this????

I don't think you should expect 50/50 results. While numerical reporting errors from electoral boards probably occur with roughly 50/50 frequency, provisional ballot counts likely occur much more often in urban, democratically-performing precincts. People there are more likely to move more often, causing registration problems.

I'm not too worried. That is, unless the dems try to steal this one like they did out in Washington state last year.

What about 60/40 results? If that were the case, there's still a McDonnell lead of several thousand (remember it was at 4K very early Wednesday morning.)

Say what you want to make yourself feel better, the trend, and its overwhelming nature are mind-boggling.

S Pi, based on your logic, should we ALWAYS expect the Dem candidate to gain two-thousand votes for every million cast in the days following an election?

Now down to 347...

Something is rotten in Denmark...

or, to put it another way, if it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck...

Or, to put it another way, GOPHokie, from where I am sitting, somebody already is trying to steal it.

I just wanna know why the numbers are changing, since the recount has not been started.
I still am not worried, but it just makes no sense.
