In Memoriam

Ronnie spoke at the University of Virginia on December 16, 1988 at the very end of his presidency. His speech is located here and is an interesting look back at his two terms. Just thought you might enjoy it. There is also an interesting series of questions by then University President O'Neill for President Reagan.

The transcript of the Reagan speech does not do the Gipper (or the University) justice. During my first semester at UVA, Univ. Historian Ray Bice spoke at the Jefferson Society where he showed video clips of famous visits by dignitaries .... Queen Elizabeth, VP Bush at graduation, Gorbachev, etc. And he saved the Regaan clip for the very end. It was mersmerizing.
