Alito solid on Abortion

If there are any conservatives out there who are worried about the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, the reaction of liberals so far should serve as comfort to you.

Take, for example, this article from Slate.com by UVA law professor Richard Schragger. Professor Schragger rings the bell for the abortion-rights crowd calling notions that Alito might be a moderate "nonsense." Schragger says:
That Alito was on the wrong side of the 3rd Circuit majority and the Supreme Court should be enough for those who are full-throated supporters of a woman's right to choose.... If Alito replaces O'Connor, both of his crucial abortion opinions in the 3rd Circuit indicate that he will not take her centrist path. But this time, there will be no moderate Supreme Court above him to put on the brakes.
Schragger's concern should be very, very comforting to pro-life conservatives.
