RPV Advance

This afternoon, the mail had an invitation to the RPV Huffman Advance on December 2nd and 3rd.

I plan to be in Jacksonville watching Virginia Tech win their second straight ACC Championship, but will be at the Advance if we decide to let another school have a turn.

It's a fun time, so put it on your calendar.

It's always a god time. Any idea why it's being held at The Homestead two years in a row? It has traditionally been rotated around the state.

I'm not sure why it's back at the Homestead. I believe that in 2003, it was at at hotel in Tysons Corner.

The way I hear it (and this is quite lame) is that people were so excited about getting to stay there at a deep discount that they had great attendance and thus the RPV wants a repeat.

As I said, just curious. Since I've been attending the locations were as follows, you'll see the geographic rotation trend.

2000-Hotel Roanoke
2001-Norfolk Waterside Marriott
2002-The Crossings Resort Richmond
2003-Sheraton Premier Tysons Corner
2004-The Homestead

The big question is whether it will be celebratory or funereal. I'm leaning toward the former, but it's not a sure thing.

Two in a row? Not a chance with that gang of thugs and pot smokers disguised as a football team there in Blacksburg. When the fans sing "hokie hokie hokie HIGH" the players take them seriously.
