Jim Gilmore to endorse AG candidate?

In yesterday's news about Bill Bolling endorsement by Jim Gilmore, there's this nugget of information:
Gilmore said he may endorse other candidates in GOP primaries, including one of the two contenders for attorney general.

"I am being careful about when and where," he said.
So far, Steve Baril has shown a good ability to line up endorsements from the Richmond area, and it will interesting to see if Gov. Gilmore follows this trend.

As I noted at John's site on Bolling's endorsement, Marcus-Allen clients all root for one another. I will be flabbergasted if Mr. Gilmore endorses Bob McDonnell. And Steve Baril may be asking for a refund.

AS also noted on CC, Gilmore's renewed ambitions for statewide office make it very much in his interest to promote a weak GOP team this time around. Bolling is an obvious choice to advance that agenda, but it's hard to see which AG candidate is weaker. Both of these guys appear to be pretty well qualified and have good campaign skills. Gilmore might have to scratch his head a while longer to figure out who is least likely to carry the state and thus merit his endorsement. when in doubt, go with the Marcus Allen client, I guess.
